This project aimed to respond to the challenges faced by distance learning course designers – within both the University of London and more broadly – of producing learning materials and designs that are accessible by and appropriate to students with disabilities. Specific achievements included:

  • The formation of a Special Interest Group (SIG)
  • Literature Review
  • Comparison of accessibility guidelines
  • Review of Courses
  • Project Blog
  • The production of a ‘key lessons’ brief outlining the main findings of the project
  • Pilot review of courses
  • Traditional ‘out of the box’ materials evaluation
