CDE NEWS UPDATE 22/7/13: RIDE2013 annual conference
CENTRE FOR DISTANCE EDUCATION ANNUAL CONFERENCE >>
We are very pleased to be able to announce the date of the CDE’s next Research in Distance Education conference, taking place on Friday 1 November 2013 in Senate House, an annual event looking at new directions and developments in distance learning. This free conference will be of interest to anyone involved in distance education research and development, and is arranged around three key themes: design for learning, future technologies and student engagement.
The conference has a has a strong research focus. Our keynote sessions will be provided by Professor Rose Luckin (Professor of Learner Centred Design at the London Knowledge Lab), and Professor Alan Tait (Professor of Distance Education and Development at the Open University, Editor in Chief of the Journal of Learning for Development www.jl4d.org). The event will incorporate the latest outputs from the CDE’s programme of Teaching and Research Awards, and will include seminars, workshops and an opportunity to network.
