MOOC Design Challenges

moocIn a recently launched follow-on survey from the successful CDE funded ‘MOOC Design Patterns’ project (http://www.moocdesign.cde.london.ac.uk/), Steven Warburton and Yishay Mor ask what are the top five design challenges that are being faced in developing MOOCs.

They comment:

“Design patterns are only a good as the problems they are able to solve and we are conducting a quick survey to find out what are the key challenges in a more mature but still evolving MOOC landscape. So we are asking, what are the current and future challenges for building and designing MOOCs, now that we have several years of experience under our belts? Are we trying to design for better completion rates, or still searching for the best pedagogical balance? Perhaps we are being challenged to justify the cost of MOOC development to senior management. Or are you a senior manager trying to discern what measurable return there is on investment?”

This survey is designed to be short and anonymous and the results will be posted on the ‘MOOC Design Patterns’ project webpages.
